A little bit about me!

Hey there! I’m a master’s student at the University of Michigan School of Information concentrating in UX/HCI. I also attended the University of Michigan for my undergraduate studies, double-majoring in Statistics and Economics.

My passion for UX extends from my undergraduate coursework. As a statistics major, I gained strong analytical and data manipulation skills, and I enjoyed identifying salient patterns and creating meaningful stories from large datasets. However, I soon realized that I was mainly confined to just analysis, and I wanted to take the next step- I wanted to take action and build something tangible, useful, and impactful. I wanted to turn my focus on the user, and better understand what people need and how we can build for the future rather than focus on what phenomena we already observe. This is why I decided to go into UX, so I can take this leap.

Outside the classroom, I am a member of the University of Michigan boxing team, where I represent the university at select matches across the country. I also enjoy exploring new cultures through food and travel, exploring the beautiful state of Michigan with impromptu weekend getaways, and going on long (but not too long) runs.
